ABOUT THE MEDIUM: Original Production Cels are one-of-a-kind pieces of art that were used in the creation of an animated film or television show. Each has been hand-painted by studio artists on a piece of celluloid acetate and has been photographed over a background painting to create a frame of the finished production.

ABOUT THE IMAGE: The warrior Taarna and a mutant thug are featured here in an excellent hand-painted original production cel from the "Taarna" segment of the animated compilation film Heavy Metal. Composed of two cels from two separate scenes, this rare two-for-one is displayed on a printed background for presentation purposes. One of the cels is 16 field, and the other is 14 field, and they are numbered T213 and C15, respectively.
